2013 Ward Rides
Designing neighbourhood bike tours for residents is a great way to encourage cyclists of all abilities to ‘get out there’ and learn the local routes in a supportive group. Mississauga has so many recreational trails and it is important to learn how to ride to them safely.
ALL RIDERS ARE WELCOME.
Small bike-related FREEBIES will be available at the end of each ride.
HELMETS: By law, all minors are required to wear a helmet, and adults are strongly encouraged to do so.
TYPE OF BIKE: Use of a HYBRID bike is recommended (i.e. road-only bikes are not suitable for unpaved off-road trails which may be part of some routes).
** NEW FOR 2013 ** SPECIAL DESTINATION/ACTIVITY: Details are pending for each ride!
Ward rides are sponsored by: Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC) with support from Councillor Chris Fonseca and the Cycling Office. Each ride is 10 to 15 km.
